1. Two, throwing a few bolt ons onto a 240z isn't going to get you into the performance range of a new Corvette. Sure it'll be a fun little car to drive but nowhere near supercar status.
2. And you do have to spend to get performance and it's not cheap. That's why the saying is, " Speed cost money, how fast do you wanna go?".
1. Wrong. For the record, I didn't say a few bolt on parts. I said a supercharged 500hp small block V8 and a 6 speed manual transmission. The R200 LSD rear end. One of the many, already designed and engineered for the S30 chassis, performance suspensions. A proper big brake kit. Tires are part of the suspension but proper tires as well. Properly set up and tuned there is no reason it would not hold better than 1 lateral G and be able to hit 200mph. These things CAN and HAVE BEEN done for less than $60,000.
2. Wrong again. By your logic you should be telling people to buy only Critical Mass Subs because they are expensive and nothing cheaper will touch their performance.
3. Most Corvettes are trash. GM made like 5 or 6 good cars and 3 or 4 good trucks. But it's cool, your avatar is one of the good cars.
