alright this is a complex situation with some newer situations i dont seem to be finding around the web.
so my car has the infinity system, kia's UVO system is like the SYNC or Microsoft i suppose. its a nice unit. I love the navigation. I want to be able to retain stock appearance, i'm already working all that out, but I also want stock functionality.
~Volume control at helm and steering wheel retained. if i feed the spdif into a decoder or the spdif into an MS-8 will i retain volume control? its obviously sent over spdif? or perhaps volume control is one of the other wires, B perhaps?
~navigation voice carried through (oddly enough it's not processed directly untill the stock amp)
So, lets start with a Diagram of the wiring at the amp, whitch I think is where I'm going to tap and mount the new processor.
I need to know some things perhaps if anybody can help me, i'm not sure where to look, just some advice on resources I'm not fully trained in the automotive industry, so where to find specs and such isn't always so stright forward to me.
I need to know what the CAN + and CAN - are, and what B+ and B- are.
also, can I pass through the navigation through a processor possible as a 7th input the rockford fosgate 3sixty.3?
I plan to run the SPDIF from the car stereo whitch is encoded 5.1 DOLBY into a decoder into 6 channel analog into the RF 3sixty.3 for processing from that point.
so, my question is _
A - can i wire it throughh the prcessor as a 7th channel name it something like center 2, and run it to its own channel on an amp, but than after the amp, tap that ouput to the same output that goes to the center to put navigation voice on the center.
B- take the navigation + and - to a Line out converter, outside the processor loop, and wire it in like above from their.
also. my car has the fancy dancy light up speaker rings, idk if that goes to the amps of it comes right out the stereo.
this is the system design i'm attempting to do now
