subwoofer knowledge?

I have a crew cab nissan titan that I've just gotten and the box I'm looking at for it is ported and fits for 2 10's. The box is divided and the internal air volume on each side is .98 but I've only got 5 1/2" of depth to play with. I want good clean and deep bass so what would be a good setup in this case? I gotta have the room in the back seat or Id sacrifice some seating.

(List pictures in this section, 1st picture should be your username/date if you have less than 10 positive feedbacks with the i-Trader system or less than 10 references that you have sold to in the past. I would also recommend some baffles and 8s. Or blocking off one hole, removing the divider and running one 10" (depending on what the ports look like.) The 2 8s would give you more cone area, motor force and probably power handling.

Look at sundown sd subs mounting depth will work not sure about space needed tho. Most pre fab boxes are really small inside other than that you might be stuck getting flat subs only

Do you know the tuning freq of the box?

One subwoofer you may wanna take a good look at is the Alpine Type S. It's mounting depth is 5 9/16, it's an underhung design(SQ oriented design), has an xmax of 15mm, and doesn't take a ton of power to get going. Not only that but Alpine recommends a 1cubic ft ported box and they make grills for them.

Don't underestimate the Type S.

Check out NET Audio and give them a call if you want the enclosure ported. If you can get away from using a certain combination of subs of a certain diameter, and let an expert help you design a solution, you will get a better sounding enclosure.

Sry guys I don't get on here to often and new to this page so work with me lol but yea the space needed is 6.5 so it's goin to be tricky picking the speaker I want that'll fit at the same time. Thanks for the opinions though guna keep looking around for a little be and see what happens

Here's a box I did for two 10s in a customer's Titan:
