the knob that comes with the amp is a bass boost knob? or a remote gain knob?

i've read different things in different forums... it says it comes with a "bass level control" is that bass boost or remote gain control?

thats what i thought aswell but how come in ebay (link to where i bought it) says its a bass boost knob? is he just an idiot?

More than likely he sells alot of amps and just mis-titled it. It's a gain knob. Just turn the knob to max, and set your gains accordingly. NEVER set the gain, then turn the knob all the way up, you'll end up clipping the amp. The gain knob is basically to turn the bass down all the way or turn it down a little for daily, then you can turn it all the way up to the normal output voltage.

You're welcome... I'm not the smartest by any means... I have the 06 zx1000.1 so that's what was tought to me, and has worked without any problems. But I had the same problem until I got educated on the subject lol.

well i hope you dont try running that amp at 1500rms with no big 3 and stock bat and alt and nothing in the back if so i dont think it will work they use some power.

what size alt do you have, and also be carefull with that amp if you blow it you are stuck since you didnt buy from an authorized dealer

haha i'm aware of that lol im ****en crazy i know but i'll be getting my big 3 like in a week and a half and im gonna get a powermaster like in 3 weeks but my alternator is gonna have to wait like a month to a month and a half...

my current alt has 80 amps haha how would i blow the amp?

if you do blow the amp on accident or give it too low of voltage you can blow the amp, trust me i know haha, i hooked up my zx1500 to stock everything battery and alt and it blew didnt even go into protect just blew idk it was weird, but u think the amp was messed up before anyway

X2... OP you need to upgrade atleast the big3 and get a more powerful battery up front atleast. Or the amp will perform poorly, and eventually fry from low voltage. I have the 1000 model and my shitty duralast can't handle full tilt for too long. I have to drive with the amp turned off to let my batt charge for awhile before I listen to it for long periods.

x2, an upgraded battery ground and maybe switch out your stock battery for a decent deep cycle and you should be fine
