ZUNE vs. IPOD

just updated my zune to v2.0 software with no data loss...

someone on page 3 said they did....so I mentioned this

anewayz......overall zen rocks......zune is good but ipod sucks

ipod doesnt ****, it is a great item, but apple has done little to make itunes a good software, but the ipod itself is a great item, watch your terms...

i'm about to buy a zune and i was wondering, how do ya'll have them connected in your car? are you using a FM transmitter and if so, what kind?

the only thing that makes me want to get an iPod is the fact that pioneer has controllers that integrate the iPod to your head unit... i have been looking for ways to connect a zune to your car stereo, but even the FM transmitters i've seen only say iPod compatible...

the ease of being able to control my ipod through my hu is what swayed my decision twoards the ipod. ive got an 80gig and i love it i think its been over a year since i bought it and i havent had any problems

they are really reliable indeed, thats a great thing about the ipod product....but not having experience with the zune has made me iffy, but im sure with the rise in popularity that it starts becoming more known and they will make sure they will comme out with stuff like the ipod and using it through the HU

Well, better than iPod anyways. The software is less intrusive. Easier to operate. The battery life is in the range of 5-10x longer. Has not messed up on me a single time yet. It's CHEAPER!!! Enough said. Man did I hate my iPod.

I have a Zen and I love it. It just works great, I can operate it without looking at the pad or the screen (good while driving), battery lasts forever. That and I love answering questions like "how do I get songs off my iPod?" ive never even heard of the zen before, dont kill me! but im familiar with the creative software and stuff?? what is the zen like?? and is it bulky like the orig. ipod or the zune???

yes sir,

they have little battery life (compared to other products)

the output frequency is good but the earphone are not of good quality.

They are good to look at sure.

Just use the aux input.. mine sits in the little cubby under my deck.. i tohught not having direct control would really ****.. but it doesnt bother me at all.. the zune sticks out just far enough to be able to switch songs ect without even having to pick it up.. and since it sits right under the HU its just as easy to control as using the HU.

screen brightness set on medium and duration set on 5 seconds...

It doesnt last that long if i'm always switchng songs and turning the screen back on..
