Zune.. not happy

my Zune just stopped working the other night.

all i get is the zune image, where it should show the loading bar.. dosent load and after a few min of trying to load it stops and say's contact support.

so when i bought this brand new from BB i got the 2 year replacement warrenty..

so im going to go get a new one via warrenty.

but ripping, and syncing over 2k CD's again.... FTL!!

but before this happend my zune would freeze, or stop for a few min. I'm half tempted to sell the new one and buy an I-pod Touch.

anyone have any problems with there zune's?

So you ripped all that music without a backup source?

HDDs always break. They are mechanical and wear down. Back that shit up this time.

Had one. Kept freezing. Bought an Archos.

Probably because I dropped it almost everyday tho

i never dropped it. if it wasent docked in the glove box of my car it was home docked here at the shop or in the entertainment center at home..

Mine was good when it worked. I actually miss how fast it loaded compared to my archos. The ipod touch looks nice but I haven't played with it at all. I would switch just to try something new if I were you.

Docking it doesn't matter. You are still using it. The platters are spinning. they will wear down. Some will last longer than others. Some DSMs get crankwalk and some don't.

well. went to BB they gave me 240.00 in store credit, so when i get paid i am going to get the i-pod touch, with a 2 year replacement warrenty.

allso can i do like i did with my zune, rip all my personal cd's onto the i touch or do i have to buy i tunes stuff?

and on another note....

i have another 30g Zune that has a bad mother board, that someone gave to me. i kept it for extra part's...

so if anyone want's a broken 30g zune for like $30.00 shipped.. all it need's is a new mother board.

I think itunes works like the zune marketplace for ripping Cds.

I am thinking of trying to get an Ipod of some kind just for flash memory vs. HDD. I am trying to figure out how to get the songs on my Zune to my new computer.

In the zune software go to your device. Highlight and Right click the songs that you want on your computer in your device and you should be able to click something like copy to computer.

You can do this on as many computers you want.

I don't get why you would need to rerip the music.. If you ripped it to your machine using w/e program you use, it should still reside on your computer, which would just require redownloading it to the zune..
