i do like the zune a little bit more than the ipod, and i dont even own a zune, only messed with a friends for about a week ( i have 2 ipod videos).

I am hoping someday Zunes start having the third party head unit support like Ipods get, it pains me to think of even having to buy anything from Apple but I may do it when I need a new HU if Zunes don't get support.

i own 4gb nano.

Wanna go bigger - 8gb.

So it will be either 8gb nano or zune 8gb.

But i do hate iTunes.

It will all come to battery life.

why do you hate itunes? ive never had a problem with it once it set to manually managing music and files. the syncing is gay, so i turn it off

syncing 1 but other issues lik it takes some time to launch.

And i guess im bishin coz i still miss good ol drag and drop

ahh yea, it can take a while to load up. on a "current" computer its quick for me, but on my old one it takes forever

you can still have drag and drop, just make sure you select the "manually manage my music" option

I hated iTunes with a passion. It was so slow to start, and it had so many bugs and errors and froze so often. Half the time it wouldn't recognize my iPod. Zune runs so much more smoothly.

another problem--i donwloaded songs coupla times from iTunes and it downloaded it its own format and i had to go and tansfer it into mp3 in order for me to burn it on a CD = complications.

Plus i don wanna go 1 by 1 when i drag and drop--i take a whole chunk - like 100 songs and when i go through the playlist i usually find just 90-95 songs.

My old mp3 sandisk was taking everything like a champ (corrupted songs, wma and all other formats) but it broke down on me in 6 months

Yes, manually managing your music is the best way. Although I do have one play list set up as a "smart play list." This list is limited to 2 gigs and every time I sync it deletes songs I've already listened to and replaces them with songs within a designated genre on my hard drive that I haven't. This way I always have something fresh to listen to and will eventually get to hear my entire Terabyte of mp3's. And your Zune does what?

what do you mean? its simple. dont use itunes to download music. its shitty quality anyways and a ripoff to boot. download mp3's from stmusic.org or a similar torrent website. its no good to download shitty quality from itunes and use them for cd's anyways.

thats what i do. then i just take the whole album, and drag and drop to the ipod. if you want to use the playlist to search through songs (which isnt a good way to go about it IMO, but meh) just select a song, scroll down, then hold CTRL and click another song. its just like using the shift buttom to select songs, but you dont select all of them, you just highlight the ones you want. then you just drag and drop, and poof, no more 1 at a time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
