N/A is no better than forced induction. It's just a less efficient way of making horsepower.Your way off in left field, im talking about p-o-w-e-r... f uck fuel mileage, All im saying is GM stooped to a lower level supercharging it.... In this part of the market i could care less if my ferrari gets 2 mpg better. I want to see some horsepower wars without the use of steroids
Now for fuel mileage and efficiency, blow the shit out of that engine, but in horsepower wars, when a N/A engine has 50 less hp than supercharged engine..... garbage
why does the greatest car ever made have to be from years past? Technology is only getting better which would mean that the cars are getting greater and greater. It is a fantastic car, but at the end of the day, it's just a hopped up corvette. It is nowhere near the greatest car ever made. ****, 67 stingray split window is a better car because it has prestige and history. No car made today gets to be greatest ever.
I think that this post fails as hard as your connection speed. You are taking absolutely nothing into account here. Explain to me how a 2.2 litre NA 4 banger from an s2k can push 240 hp, but a 3.0 litre a4 V6 can only push 220 hp? You sort of need to look at things other than just forced induction and displacement. Its also amazing to see the lack of knowledge some people have about engines. N/A power is fine. Forced induction is fine. The goal is to increase cubic inches. People saying that you shouldn't supercharge/turbocharge, should also never push their trash down into the trash can to increase space. Same concept.
If you keep increasing horsepower, you'll soon run out of room in your combustion chamber. This is were forced induction is beneficial as it compresses the oxygen, effectively increasing combustion volume. N/A cars are actually not impressive at all, as it takes old technology to accomplish. Forced induction is the new way to increase power, without increasing too much weight and size of the engine. Long gone are the days of the 16 cylinder engines in your daily driver.
Because cars of years past were built on different ideals and using different techniques than the cars of today. These days, "high end" cars are talked about as though they're hand built. Years past, that was the only way to do things. Tell me this, the Lamborghini Murcielago is far more technologically advanced, faster, more reliable and more efficient than a 1968 Lamborghini Miura SV. However, which car would you say is a more technological and performance marvel: a car that does over 170 mph in the 60s, or a car that does 200 mph in the 2000s when it's the reference standard for super cars?why does the greatest car ever made have to be from years past? Technology is only getting better which would mean that the cars are getting greater and greater.

My Edge is faster than your CX-7 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifThats the problem, alot of people just look at peak numbers. In your example the s2k motor does 20 more peak hp. What you dont see is that the s2k does it at ~9k rpm, while the a4 v6 does it's peak ~6-7k rpm. What you also dont see is torque. I'll bet my bottom dollar that a4 v6 does quite a bit more torque than the s2k motor.
Even with your analogy cars are getting better and better...With time comes change...Thats just like saying since Michael Phelps is able to train better, eat better, etc. He is not the greatest Olympian ever because Mark Spitz did it with less technology behind his training, etc...Numbers dont lie...It just goes to show you that humans as a race are starting to peak in the area of technology //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif..and to say since its a newer car it cant be the greatest is insane..u drive your Lambo from the 60's and I will take the new hotness //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifBecause cars of years past were built on different ideals and using different techniques than the cars of today. Used to be that way. From what I hear the new Nissan GTR will cost less.best car ever made...no probably not.best bang for the buck..probably yes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thats a horribly amusing logic you have there.Just as amazing as the people that worship the car they've never driven, or even seen in person.
