Reading around it looks like it was a zapco bosch amp and one of the first 5 channels ever made. Its a freaking tank and weighs easily as much as my ab150. It sounds wonderful and LOUD. It has 60 amps of fusing so you do the math.

Id say after its cleaned up 7 of 10. My grandson was helping me get gut shots and a screw and knob walked away. I'm still looking for them

The zed part was an accident. I was thinking zapco and typed zed.. If that makes any sense. I mostly trust the thread at diy. I mean perry babin or onemoreamp didn't correct him so Id assume it was right.

Corrected. But doesnt Zeff designing it kind of make it have something to do with zapco?

Not really, you could say its a zeff designed amp, but zapco had nothing to do with it. Zapco was created after the amp was built. Its kind of like an old school zed amp has nothing to do with the current zed audio. Its a zeff amp, who later created zapco, but the 2 are different.

I wasnt saying it was an arc. I was asking if it was designed by Zeff like arc was.

I'd compare it more to the more recent Cerwin Vega amps that were Zeff designed. Considering Blaupunkt marketed themselves as high end in those days I suspect build quality was good, but I doubt they were built in the Zapco factory.

Also, Zapco has been around a long time, definitely before this amp came out.

No :-( Its a standard shaft with one flat side so I was thinking of looking for a set that would work. Id be willing to pay for shipping to cover the cost of the knob if ya wanna take it off my hands.

I will think on that a bit. Not sure why but I just feel drawn to this amp.
