Uh, I didn't recommend the ball-less wonders called Linear Power... I made the mistake of buying into the hype, bullshіt, and flat out LIES perpetrated by the owner of LP's service center and all the nut hugging fanbois. Granted, if one wants to run an amplifier that flat out won't make rated power, is equalized to color the sound, exhibits HISS on digital silence, and has a clipping characteristic similar to a tube amplifier, by all means feel free to run Linear Power.id second linear power over zed. but zed does make a quality product, u can run the amp at full range but u might hit 2 low of notes as u wont have a high pass crossover. get distortion
somethin wrong with full range class d amps??Uh, I didn't recommend the ball-less wonders called Linear Power... Regardless, I REFUSE to repeat that mistake by believing the blind assertions that "Zed is the best".
Would I consider Zed if I was in the market for a full-range class d amplifier? You betcha. I would evaluate his amplifier, the JL Audio HD, and possibly the revised Alpine PDX...
Am I in the market for a full-range class d amplifier? No!
I went through 13 Linear Power amplifiers from their IQ series all the way up to their DPS and HV series. While the DPS and HV series didn't have the noise issues like the IQ series did, they made NO WHERE near their advertised, rated power. If they were so good, why did the company fold in 2002 or 2003?linear power is not notch stuff idk what ur talking about.
There is nothing wrong with the recent offerings, because they have improved with time and pro audio technology seems to have migrated into the 12 volt world. 5 years ago, there is no way I would have run a full range class d. Today, it is feasible, but I have all the amps I need to keep me happy at the moment!somethin wrong with full range class d amps??
