zapco subs

well since its zapco im sure you wont be disappointed, However, IMO I would only use Zapco amps & symbilink(ofcource) cause i think they spend a lil more time engineering those than their components and subs. I could be wrong though
Naw, they put alot of time into their components... As far as subs I have no idea, the comp sets they have a BAD ***, a friend of mine has a set, they sound GOOOOOOD.

well I have used zapco amps, components and have played with the iforce subs...

they are okay... msrp on them and i wouldn't buy them...

i mean they have good sq and get fairly loud...

this kid was telling me how his 12" iforce in a snailshell with a 500.1 sounded like a 15" on 1000w... i lol'ed... he was dumb.

it doesn't have very incredible output but not bad either.

my 2 cents? buy something else maybe alumapro's or arc's...

only arc products that are good are the zeff engineered ones

buy them and try em out!? theres a concept. im sure they would sound great if you dont mess up the enclosure they go in..
yup, it seems that im gonna have to try them of, i wanted a JL w6 but for tha price i almost can buy 2 zapco 12''s, my amps are zapco too, so i think it would be a nice set up.

dont have the zapco subs but have the ck16.2 comps and they sound great on my dc 360.4 also had them on a dc 1000.4 but today i got my custom painted 4.0 in and i will be putting it in soon followed by my dsp6 in the future but the speakers sound really good. From what i heard from dealers they say they do not have alot of output but sound good i am using jbl gti 12's and they are great. I hope to hear some reviews on the zapco subs on the future.

esb of italy i believe is zapcos sister company. i have four sets of the blue cone seperates and have had a few sets of the iforce coaxials. there speakers are awesome. the blue cones have some of the best natural sounding midbass i have heard. the tweeters definition is unreal and not harsh or too soft. just a very natural sounding components. they are powered by a DC 650.6 in my car. active up front, passive in the rear. i have heard that their woofers sound great, but dont have the impact and dont displace the air of some of the others out there. its not like they were designed for it anyway. i havent personally heard one, but have talked to a guy that uses a lot of them, who also mainly uses DD.

I run an iforce 12d now (along with zapco ck comps) and its a very good sub. Keep in mind I much have had over 30 subs to compare it to, around 10 in the same car. I have problems with changing equiptment.

For the prices theyre going on ebay I cant think of a better deal. I bought it as a temporary replacement but found that the zapo sub played low end notes better than my alumapro mx and was more efficient than my Premier wprs12. Im a/b ing it to the 12wprs kevlar and Im unsure which sounds better. Make no mistake this is a quality sub. Looks good too

As a note, zapco's specs for the sub are wrong on the site. a 12 wants 1 cuft sealed and around 500 watts.

The proper specs are as follows:

Frequency Response

:

28 Hz - 700 Hz

Sensitivity 1W/1m

dB Spl:86.8 dB

Moving Coil Resistance

Re:3.6 Ohms

Resonance Frequency

Fs:33.21 Hz

Mechanical Q Qms:8.04

Electric Q Qes:0.43

Total Q Qts: 0.41

Mobile Mass

Mms:207.9 g

Mechanical Compliance

Cms:0.110 mm/N

Equivalent Acoustic Volume

Vas:35.98 Liters

Moving Coil Inductance

Le:3.79 mH

Force Factor

BL:18.9 Txm

Theyre loud enough. Im not a spl guy so keep that in mind. But Id say the output was about the same as an IDQ in the same box.

Only weak point is blending with mids is not as seam less than say with the alumapro. But if you messwith slopes and crossover points you achieve good results. I would put this sub at the same level as an IDQ/ARC but with more xmax.
