I was just wondering if a zapco ref-350 wired to 100 x 2 @ 2 ohm stereo would be too much for my focal utopia 136W 5.25'' speakers. They are rated at 70 watts nominal and 140 MAX.

Also will the zapco ref-1050 wired to 750 x 1 @ 4 ohms bridged work on a magnum D2? Will I be able to get the full 750 out of the zapco? please help as i am about to order these two amps.

Aren't the Focals 4ohm speakers? Meaning that they would only milk 50 watts per side out of a 100watt @2ohm amp.

Dont you want a 100x2@4ohm to get 100 watts per side which would be right in the middle of nominal and max.

Or you could be crazy and get a 200x2@4ohm for some real juice!

That Refernce should give you about 75 RMS @ 4 ohms per side. I have an AG 350, same amp just a bit older. I ran a pair of 4" Bazookas on it, lol they lasted a few months though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It won't be too much at all, just make sure you set the gain properly.

If you check the specs on their site its 100 x 2 @ 4 ohms

Stereo, 4 ohms: 2x100 Watts

Stereo, 2 ohms: 2x175 Watts

Bridged, 4 ohms: 1x350 Watts

T.H.D + Noise:

S/N Ratio: >95dB

Slew Rate: >29V/uS

Damping Factor: >200@4 ohms

Dimensions: 15"L x 7.5"W x 2"H

100 x 2 should be just right for the Utopias.
