All the accounts of a high noise floor Ive heard of on h701's were by not running it optical. I wouldn't dream of running anything other than optical, so that's a moot point to me.I was looking for the same thing a few months back and had it between the DSP6 and BitOne based on a few things. Through research I found accounts of the H701 having a somewhat high noise floor. Also, I believe you need an Alpine HU. After that both the BitOne and DSP6 seemed great, but I decided to go with the DSP6 because of reliability issues.
misunderstanding. The bit1 gives you more xover points (not limited to certain channels) also steeper slopes. and compared to the zapco you can do group eq and independent eq at same time. All th drc issues have been resolved in the bit.1.1
I will tell you this the bit1 sounds 100 times better than an rf 360.2
Ah, ok. I never used the H701 like I said, so all I know is from research when I was looking for my processor. All the accounts of a high noise floor Ive heard of on h701's were by not running it optical. I wouldn't dream of running anything other than optical, so that's a moot point to me.
Thanks horseman, i'll read it later.
You sure you can do individual channels then group eq?Not sure what you mean by all that, but you can do group and individual EQ on the DSP6 at the same time as well as xover however you wish on any channel you wish at any frequency you wish, not set frequencies.
I do have the DSP6. Maybe I don't get what you mean by group EQ. And yes, the DSP6 does only do 24dB, but that seems fine to me, lol.You sure you can do individual channels then group eq?
Do you have a DSP6 or DC amps?
The x-over slope on the BitOne will go all the way to 48db the DSP 24db. Now if you stack a DSP6 in-front of a DC amp then you can get 48db slopes.
Ah, ok. Well, then, no you can't do that, I misunderstood what was meant by group EQ obviously. What he is saying is you can EQ CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4, CH5, CH6. Then select CH1/2, 3/4, 5/6 and eq them again as grouped channels. Not effecting the other eq selections made on separate channels.
So basically two seperate sets of eq.
I have the Zapco software open so tell me how to do it.
Also I asked if you has a DSP-6 because you are saying things that make no sense about the DSP6.
I am a Zapco fan or I would not be on Team Zapco and run Zapco amps and nothing else.
Many more x-over points on bitone.Hows the processing better than an H701?
Only if you put front1 to tweeter setting, if you put it to full range it won't do this.EVERY time you mute the tweeter circuit, and unmute, it defaults back to 4khz @ 18dB crossover. That's annoying
