Zapco processor is better than h701 and audison bit one?

Not sure what you mean by all that, but you can do group and individual EQ on the DSP6 at the same time as well as xover however you wish on any channel you wish at any frequency you wish, not set frequencies.
You sure you can do individual channels then group eq?

I would like for to explain how you do this.

The x-over slope on the BitOne will go all the way to 48db the DSP 24db. Now if you stack a DSP6 in-front of a DC amp then you can get 48db slopes.

Do you have a DSP6 or DC amps?

I do have the DSP6. Maybe I don't get what you mean by group EQ. And yes, the DSP6 does only do 24dB, but that seems fine to me, lol.

What he is saying is you can EQ CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4, CH5, CH6. Then select CH1/2, 3/4, 5/6 and eq them again as grouped channels. Not effecting the other eq selections made on separate channels.

So basically two seperate sets of eq.

I have the Zapco software open so tell me how to do it.

Also I asked if you has a DSP-6 because you are saying things that make no sense about the DSP6.

I am a Zapco fan or I would not be on Team Zapco and run Zapco amps and nothing else.

Meglo-On the DSP6 you can set the x-over for any channel any way you want with any freq. , HP/LP/BP, choose LW or BW filters and slope up to 24db.

One other nice feature is on the PEQ you can choose Peak, Low Shelf or High shelf.

Ah, ok. Well, then, no you can't do that, I misunderstood what was meant by group EQ obviously.

The Zapco is my pick. I have played around with the BitOne.1 and it is a great DSP. Either one you choose is very good.

I am not a huge fan of the H701. Just know to many people that have had issues.

H701 allows you to do 3 way front stage active, the DSP-6 does not. I ran the 701 for 3-4 months on Ai net only and had no noise floor issues but it does occasionally have zipper noise. Zapco is top notch stuff and you pay for it, the H701 is much cheaper. You do not NEED an Alpine unit to control the H701, you can always use the C701 controller.

I've owned all three so I can speak from personal experience.

IMO, the interface on the bitone is the best I've ever used.

Comparing zapco to the bitone isn't fair.

In that case, the zapco is far superior for a number of reasons; one big one is that you can TYPE in x-over and eq frequency... you're not forced to choose from a list. However, it doesn't do 4-way active. It doesn't have as many bands per channel to work with EQ but frankly, I don't think you really need 31 bands per channel.

I have mixed feelings on bitone vs. zapco.

I can say for sure that the bitone > h701. The ONLY thing I like about the h701 more is that it has the c701 and you are not limited to a laptop for tuning. There's NO other way to tune the bitone other than a laptop. NONE.

Hows the processing better than an H701?
Many more x-over points on bitone.

Larger range of eq adjustment (+/-12dB on bitone vs. h701's +/- 9dB).

Two crossover types to choose from on the bitone (butterworth, linkwitz). More slopes (up to 48dB in 6db increments) on the bitone.

The rest are just GUI benefits such as muting is much faster because you can just click 'mute'. Takes more screens to get to this on the 701 and EVERY time you mute the tweeter circuit, and unmute, it defaults back to 4khz @ 18dB crossover. That's annoying.

Don't forget dynamic EQ on the bitone.

Only if you put front1 to tweeter setting, if you put it to full range it won't do this.
For some reason, I thought it did. I knew the reason you set it for 'tw' was to have that, but I hated that it always defaulted back to 4k even after you set it below that. Was just aggravating.

Well, good to know, I guess.
