Zapco 9.0 power problem

I have a zapco 9.0 hooked up with the remote wire I only get 8.6v but when I take out the remote wire I get 14.7v what is wrong with the amp or am I doing something wrong and also what is the switched 12v out for? is it just if you run more amps it can run to another amp? Thx in advance I really want some bass in my car asap

If you are dropping to 8v on the amp power cable when the remote wire is installed/powered, then you have high resistance or a bad connection on the 12+ wire, fuse holder problem, loose wire etc.

thx it was a bad ground that had corrosion from under the car. Now i have sub problems. i have 2 idmax d2 hooked up to it and wired down to 2ohm and it goes to protection but when i disconnect it and run each by themself they work fine. then i try hooking them up again into the sub box and one makes it to to protection and the other works fine.
