Very true bro sorry was thinking of my plan that i had before i edited its going to be 3500 rms now, prob a little less seeing as it will only be a 12 volt system. Not to get off subject though, back to the comparison of the two subs. and thank you again.

even with 3500 rms your gonna eventually smoke either one of them, i personally would go with 2 hdc 12's in stead of one 15, You shouldnt blow them off that power as you would with one, and 2 12's would run in around the same airspace as the one 15'. Who ever this fool is that said look into that aa smd must not know for the less money you can have a warden and who really want's steve meade's fat ass initial's on it.

Had an re xxx 06 version couple years ago. Then moved on to the lms 5400 18. I liked the xxx. I'm more of a sq guy though with my old age. seems like two totally different subs. the xxx and the aq that is. I was putting 1500 on the xxx and it moved pretty well. 3500 would kill it. If you are wanting a spl sub the xxx is not the way to go imo.

AQ HDC3's will be fine with 3.5k daily and will sound very musical. Anyone who says anything against that is either an idiot or has no personal experience with this subwoofer.

re= junk..... and not impressed with AQ sound... i have used both and i would have to say AQ is the better buy though and are very underrated.... i will never own re again its over priced jus like jl...

I liked the sq of the xxx. It is overpriced. but I got a good deal on mine and went with it. ran it for a couple years. never had an issue with it. I honestly have never heard an aq so I'm not even going to pretend to say the xxx is better, just have personal use with the xxx and it was a really nice sounding sub. I listen to a lot of rock music and it was awesome!

Oh, boy. double edged question. If I say that its worth it i'm gonna get bashed for suggesting that it is. Most people on here will say there are a ton of subs that are a lot better for the money. 520 is a decent price for the xxx cause that is just what they sell for online and ebay. you can't get them much cheaper. If you have the money and want to spend it like I did. I would say if you are looking for sq sub that can also get loud. Go with it. Like I said I've never heard an aq so I can't compare. Also, I had it ported and tuned to 30.

Thanks for coming back to check on my thread, sooo lets say i tune it to 36 is that gonna be too high for that xxx, and also how did the 30hz sound on everyday music hip hop and rap. No one should bash bro just your opinion and i appreciate the help thanks again

2 12" copper coil AQ's will do fine off that power.

Never had a problem with the SQ of the AQ subs and I play a variety of music. xxx is one of the few subs I haven't heard, so I can't comment on it.
