Your favorite SQ subs and why.

Lets assume i have 2 12W6v2's in my extended cab, each in a sealed 1.25 cube sealed enclosure. Each sub is getting the recommended 400 watts RMS. Assume slope/gain/whatever else is set towards SQ tuning.

What kind of SPL numbers would i put up?

id12v3 sealed. cause its the only SQ woofer ive ever owned:p:

ive owned a l5 15", l7 12", audiobahn abp122t 2 12's, and heard a dual type-r setup sealed. my dual id12's sounded very harmonic in a small/medium sized sealed box at any volume and any power given.

my other setups sounded good but the ID12's were like Dove chocolate vs hersheys chocolate...both good shit but the Dove is more rich and smooth.

I'd guess about a 42 on the N00bxcube mic.

These sorts of posts are expressly forbidden on CA.com according to the sticky in the subwoofer forum. There is no way to know. Too many variables.

The w6v2's can get decently loud. If you are truely after SQ they will more than suffice.

TC Sounds LMS-4000 (version 2).

Either my mag or the original kicker Solo Baric. Two of the best sounding subs I have heard, mag obvously wins on output.
I can now say I have also owned both of those. The SoloBarics were pretty sweet & produced tremendous kick, but I am expecting a whole other level from that Mag once I get it hooked up. I will report back with the details //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

o.k. i would like to be able to turn it up and make some people say yeah that sounds good. Where as people at my school thing SQ and distortion do not matter. Most people have their gain, bass boost, and even frequency nobs turned all the way to the right just because they think it means more power. I have heard some d### horrible sounding setups in my day.
ah, highschool. I remember the days of lots of bass, and, well not much else..

thank god that's over with

My vote goes to 12w6v2's awesome all around woof, gets loud when you want it, AND, can blend nicely with the front stage when you want it.

although i haven't gotten around to installing my RL-p yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

Can I say IDW despite never hearing one?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif Out of what I've heard I'll say Brahma, but I haven't heard my ava yet either.
I had 2 15"s and yes they are that good, my TC2+'s sounded very sloppy in comparison
