Your favorite SQ subs and why.

15" Brahma sealed.. Hits nice and hard and sounds very smooth.. I've also had it ported in 3.5 cubes, tuned to 26hz, and it hit amazingly low.. It also sounds good at any volume.. Highly recommended..

my fav sq subs were Alpine Type X 12"s sealed. They reach amazingly low, nearly flat, accurate. They do take some pretty good power to wake up though. When I had them seeing only around 500W each, I was disappointed. After feeding them a good 1200+ Watts, holy cow... They weren't my loudest subs (although 140 dB on music in sealed on a pair of 12"s isn't exactly shabby either), but boy did they sound nice.

The only more accurate woofs I've experienced were SoundSplinter RL-P 12"s sealed. Problem I ran into (with my particular vehicle and enclosure) was that they didn't really stay "up there" into the uber-low frequencies as like the Type X's. They could get friggin' loud though!... in addition to having probably the most precise reproduction I've heard from a subwoofer.

Sont makes the best SUBS.

If you want the best of the best, it has to be a SONY.

o.k. i would like to be able to turn it up and make some people say yeah that sounds good. Where as people at my school thing SQ and distortion do not matter. Most people have their gain, bass boost, and even frequency nobs turned all the way to the right just because they think it means more power. I have heard some d### horrible sounding setups in my day.

you will be ok they dont get all crappy sounding like super woofers do.....they may be clean but sound linearity suffers and most "kids" cant set up subs very well and if its profesionally done usually within a week they jack up the settings to just be "loud"

So far my Eclipse SW8200 Aluminum cone sub on 200 measly watts is the best sub i've heard. It's only my second sub and i can't wait to get a better amp to hear it come alive. I'm beginning to hear sounds i've never heard before out of my songs. (vs two pioneer 10's)

Imagine what would happen if you got some real speakers to go along with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

haha i know, but at $15 a piece i couldn't pass up the deal at the time. For $15 I have to say they are pretty crisp sounding.
