I like them..."Oldies" is about as useful a genre as "easy listening" or "adult contemporary".

But I'm not really a fan of what gets considered "oldies"...can't stand doo-wop, Elvis, ugh. Lots of good jazz in the late '40s/'50s, though. Django Reinhardt, Les Paul, Charlie Parker, Dizzy, the beginning of bebop...
