If he's getting 172dB with that setup, then my two 10's and a 12 must be hitting near 250dB,lol

If you are going to exaggerate at least make it believable.......

one time I was looking up when I cut on my stereo and the turn on thump made the moon wobble back and fourth afew times...

I think it might have been the Polarization of the Magnanets on my JL audios....

2000 watts rms, 3.4 cu ft,93dB's, mic placed in back close to subs which may have faulted the reading, was 1st in class, the mic itself may have been bad cause the week before at the ame levels and no different setup of my stuff, measured at 161 dB That placed 3rd
u are talking about at the port.

I ran 8 gague wire out of my distrubition block, which had 4 gague going into it. I hooked up the 8 gague to my brand new American Bass CX1200D.

It slammed for about 3 weeks, then the Power Supply blew. It will cost me 700 Dollars Canadian to fix it. Cheaper to buy a new one.

The best part is, they won't cover it under warantee cause I used too small wire, it is my fault.

Biggest waste of money thus far.

The Canadian Repair person for American Bass.

Actually, I called Bob from American Bass and complained about the situation. He talked to my local car audio company. They are going to repair my unit for 100 USD and he is going to cover the rest.

American Bass, so far, a good company, and has served me well.

Just hate the fact that my amp broke =/

Me i would have to say buying cheap and changing my setups ever 6 mons to something better. Right know im working on getting 2 L5 10" and another kx400.1

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

I do not see a problem with an addition of up to a 600 RMS Class D mono amplifier with 4 ga OFC wiring supply kit and be fine. It would be...
