Everyone starts somewhere, and I'm just curious about what the people that are now building walls and spending big money on CA started with.

I'd especially like to hear about it if you used to run something really funny - WalMart brand stuff, etc.

I'm still on my first system so I can't participate.

for my first system in the eclipse was a pos walmart kenwood deck was liek 70 bux 2 sets of polk db650s and 1 kenwood kac 728s running a diamond cm312d4 it worked lol i did get a nice amp kit from a kid i knew that worked a citcuit city. Best part was i had a 2 sub box and only one sub lol so i put all my tools and shit in the other side

Two 12" Lightning Audio Subs

Pioneer 750watt amp

sony xplod headunit

couldnt afford amp kit so instead i bought fuse and fuseholder and an orange extension cord

worked perfectly fine

Even if it is your first system, Im sure your already thinking of upgrading.

My first original consisted of 2 small sealed boxes with a 4ch Sony Xplod 500 watt amp with 2 discontinued 10" Powerbass ( 250 RMS and 350 Peak ) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I then built a 3ft^3 NET box tuned to 35hz (truck box) in my single cab S-10, then I upgraded the amp that I bought locally, which was a Power Acoustik LT-1920-2 good for like 400-600 RMS IMO

Even tho it is still my first I got plans to upgrade, with the small amount of space I have their isnt really room for a spare battery and a place to put amp. I got to think all of that out

But for the SuperNova I have //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, if it lasts then I might go ahead and buy the stuff I planned to use in my truck ( HC2400, 1/0, Amp, HC1400 ) and have a wall for 1 18" in about 8ft^3 NET tuned to around 32hz.

To me that would be kickass, but it will all depend on how the car actually runs. Only time will tell.

What do you plan to upgrade too?

1st syssem was 2 Audio-bawnz 12'z...it sucked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

sold that before i even got my license, then picked up a RE SX 12 and viper 1200, 2.5cuft at 32hz i think, was alot better than the abawnz

then to XXX 15

MT 18

2 MT 15s

1 Fi BTL 18

2 Fi BTL 18s

i had a california profile 400.2 and a JBL tr215 ( PA speaker system for live sound) with a big towel stuffed in the tweeter.

it sounded horrible, but **** i had the biggest system at my school.

took up the entire rear of my 4 runner.

lol. this is a good thread.

my first system was actually fairly decent at the time. Had a clarion HU with 6 disc changer, had pioneer 3 ways all the way around. I went through about 5 sets of subs though, had audiobans, pyle, and a few others i cant think of right now before i ended up with 2 infinity reference being pushed with a Boss 1200 watt (that was probably pushing more like 3-400) All this was in a 92 F150 extended cab, but i took the back seat out and had a bandpass back there. The infinitys actually sounded pretty good.

Now ive been buying the pieces for my new system which consists of a 15" Q being pushed with a 1000 watt alpine in a custom 3FT enclosure. Which is going in my Explorer. However i am still gonna be running stock HU and speakers for now.

2 pioneer ts-w250r's, rockford rf2002 amp and im still using the same pioneer deh-p3500 h/u

i still have the subs, amp and box.....sitting in my living room collecting dust just needing a home. loved em. they hit hard but they just didnt get low enough.

lol @ the extension cord.

my first system, the one im about to install, is in my sig.

Don't forget to do a thread and post pics...of your install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
im only going to be doing the HU by myself. i don't have the time to run wires so im going to drop the car off and a close friend that isn't busy then have him watch over it as they do the install and have him call me with questions.

only reason im not going to have time is when im having it installed is school time and football season and only off day i have is work days.
