Got my system replaced decided to go with 2 12" RF p3 dvc 2ohm & the t1000.2 rf amp. What type of box is gonna give me the most bass the kind that drops. sealed or ported. The ins wanted to give me a sealed box but couldnt give me any specs on it. I have a lincoln towncar with rf componets & a pioneer fhp5000 head unit. So the guy said I didnt need a ported box since its in a car. Which do yall think is the best way to go? And the birth sheet for my amp says it pushes 1186watts, my subs are 1000watts 500rms, whats the best wiring option to get all that 1186watts to the 2 subs?? i would say go with a ported box. With the way you were describing how you wanted your stereo to sound it would work well for you

Post the specs of the amp and i can awnser the second part of your question.

look do a custom bandpass box no pre-fab bullshits either and put a epicenter on it and u should be fine..port it thru the rear deck and let it do its thing..if u want me 2 design one 4 u ..pm me the area u want to use and i'll take it from there

1186@ 2ohm all channels combined specs on amp are 500rms x2 @ 2ohm, 400rms x2 @ 4ohms

probably could have gone with a different amp. unless that one happens to be stable at 1 ohm? cause you said your subs are dvc 2 ohm, that means you can get either 1 or 4 ohm from each, and of course either 2 or .5 with both wired together.

and the type of box you should get kinda depends on your preferred music style. ported has the most output yet the slowest response, ideal for rap but not for rock. sealed has the tightest respons and will take up a lot less space than ported. ive heard bandpass generall **** and they have a limited freq range but i had one in my truck for a year and depending on the quality of the recording of the song it sounded great.

the amp he has will work fine. He can wire to a final two ohm load.

Go ported and your setup will work swell for you.

whoooooops i was wrong about the ohmage part but when he bridges it, thats only 500w or so to ea. they could handle a bit more eh?
