//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bsflag.gif.21f42eccd34b7d1eb1608fb1b59b69c3.gifits hillarious to me that in other threads you are all SOOO reluctant to guess SPL numbers because there are so many variables, yet you are so quick to spew some BS. numbers just because you are pre-disposed to flaming "the jl fanboy" and don't really give a **** about the installation... you are simply using my forum history of 400 posts to determin everything about me from personality to how loud my car is... this is ignorant... because nothing i type on here can give you even a hint as to how intellegent i am, infact if i were to go by the internet there are quite a few of you who would be in an asylum or the special olympics... how about you think about that and work on making your flames at least valid

aww is the lil guy upset because everyone is trying to tell him his system BLOWS?

reality is a b!tch isn't it?

my guesstimate is 140-145 but it's not an SPL setup its actually more of a SQ setup... i know mom can hear me coming 2 and a half minutes before i get here
do you have any idea what 140-145 dB sounds like? or are you just throwing out a number?

That HAS to sound horrible.
Had a system the other day... 4 10's and 2 15's...

Sounded ridiculously HORRIBLE with the phase reversed on one set... EVEN MORE cancellation than when they were all in phase.

Nasty, just nasty sound.

hey that completely possible.... i've heard some bad ones to... mine dosen't sound bad at all though also there would be x2 cancellation with 2 15's than one 15... and mine is a 13... there is some cancellation with my system but it is acceptable at the most i would say it loses 1 or 2 db's depending on the volume but it doesn't have any audible distortion... it sounds extremely clean, which was my goal from the begining

actually i don't because i can still hear perfectly... but i know what it feels like... and from the point that i can't sit in the car and still breath it gets much louder... well not breathing is a lil over-board but the insides of your ears hurt and tickle at the same time...it hurts to have my teeth together and my lips go numb and the rear view mirrior won't stay on no matter what i stick it with

ok i'll explain it...

the cancellation is caused by 2 different speakers playing the same signal... even on a system with 2 identical subs cancellation exists... it's simply impossible to get rid of completely but with 2 subs that are different sizes there is a greater possiblility... with 2 15's instead of 1 you are increasing cancellation by more than 2 times as much
