Hmmm judging from my example I gave what do you think the obvious answer is? Also you would be ignoring WELL over 1/2 of the governments budget now to come to your idiotic conclusion. Something the governments way back then did not have and in no way would have had the revenue to pay for with the tax rates they had back then. Told you from the word go this was and is a pretty stupid argument and I even told you to do some research (hint yahoo answers is not the place to research this) and educate yourself on the matter. YOU CAN NOT look at 1944 and draw a straight line conclusion based on your stupid ******* chart (based solely on the differences in budget something grew that those governments created!). If it were that easy it would have been done a long time ago and that is yet again why I am not a democrat any longer because the reality to the picture Dem's try to paint as reality more closely resemble wonderland or a bad acid trip than the actual reality of the situation.
