definately, there are quite a few members on the boards here who can build you one relatively cheap, hell if I had some spare time I'd build one for you.

i agree. however, you can go in to the registry and get rid of any crap you don't want. i almost clean out everything non-essential and start over. you can get a halfway decent pc that way, but custom made is better. i had my laptop custom made through hp for 900$. even with touchscreen, ridiculous ram and HD space, it was still relatively inexpensive. office max ordered it for me. i just had to wait 2 weeks for it to ship in.

why you think the price on that stuff is going to go up? Because it wont, every 18 months the number of transistors you can put on a chip doubles, the longer you wait the better value you have on your money
