I hate the new stuff with a passion...and I mean really, really hate it. Filled with senseless, self glorifying, meaningless bullshit...that for some reason is popular? I can't figure it out for the life of me. I have Biggie's albums, some NWZ and Wu-Tang as well as Mobb Deep's Infamous album...I never got into Tupac though, his voice/flow just never appealed to me.

I don't get the appeal of the new stuff either. I haven't heard a decent rap song in a long time. It's all about jewelry, wheels, vehicles and money. There's no substance to it, and a lot of the guys are so stupid that they can hardly speak.

I can get into some of the Wu Tang stuff, but I lost interest after Wu Tang Forever. They expanded too much, and they were promoting a lot of shitty music and merchandise. The core rappers from the Wu Tang Clan are some of the greatest ever, though.

I don't understand how any hip hop/rap fan can dismiss Tupac's music. He's definitely one of the most important figures in the history of the genre in my opinion. It takes all kinds, I suppose...

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that it's not...pretty easy to tell when someone is really freestyling as well.

Blackstar is decent. I Don't really care for Talib Kweli that much. I listen to a lot of hip hop mostly early 90s - current. Been listening to Clipse, Evedence, Gangstarr,Common, and Problemaddicts lately.
