yet another port question

Im still in the process of trying to design a ported box for 2 IA DP 15s. Im sooooo picky its not even funny....I love the low low bass so i want to tune around 28-29hz.......But i want it to get low and loud, so i figured i'd also tune around 34-36hz........But then i found the Resonant Frequency of my trunk and for local comps. i would like to compete in, i want to tune it around 46hz. (My resonant frequency peaked at 49)

So basically i will be having 3 different tunings. I will be using 4 4in in diameter vents. One set being 15inches in length, the other 9inches, and the last being 2.5inches. My question is, how hard would it be to switch out my ports....Just take the 15inch port out and stick the 2.5in port in? Would it eventually cause wear and tear of my box? So something more like a port plug would be recommended? Any help would be appreciated

i would think over time that the port holes would start to lossen up.. mdf is not real good about holding up at the edges.

Use Aeroports...Just tape the flares onto the PVC. You would have to take one or both subs out to do the change though.

InhumanAcura, where are some good places to find aeroports at? Yea i could search, but i dont know if you know any good cheap places right off the top of your head...If not, i'll search and find the best places myself.....Oh and how many aeroports would you recommend for 2 DP 15s? To get the most out of my subs....Atfirst i was going to go with a vented box, but space is definately an issue if im going to port on the same plane as my subs....I dont even know if i will have enough room for that yet......Oh and how are those triangle ports? Anyone used them before?

use sliders, just like the one used in windows. so that the mdf sheet slides over it , and not over the other board

well thanks alot guys....I spoke with Moe Lester about it and he suggested the same thing...But i didnt know if there was a cheaper site... i guess i might be purchasing them soon.....

On a side note, i got my DP in today...This is one sexy/huge sub....My first time ever running 15s. Should be nice
