hey can someone design a box for me? not askin anyone to build it... just give me the dimensions and stuff that i need to build it... i have 2 boston acoustic 10.5LF pro series subs... each needs .5 cu ft... i want a wedge enclosure with seperate chambers... the subs are 4 ohms and are gonna be wired in parallel so i'm not sure how that relates to the box but i just thought i'd throw that in there... the website doesn't give very many specs on it, but if you're willing to help, i'd be more than happy to answer any questions... also i forgot to mention that the front of the box is gonna be made out of plexiglass and i think the rest is gonna be made out of 3/4 mdf cuz that's what everyone recommends...

THANKS!!

i think he said somthing about being a wedge.

Wedge (W1+W2)/2 X Height X Depth

that is how you calculate the inner volume of the wedge.

play around with the numbers until you reach .5 cubic feet, or near there.

dont forget to compensate for the volume of the rear side of the subwoofer too, otherwise you will end up with less volume then you thought, usually a 10" is around .1 cubic foot (i think) so you will want around .6 cubic feet.

then add 3\4 inches to certain sides that overlap to compensate for the thickness of the wood (not all sides will need to be lengthened - just draw it out in a 3D kinda way and you will understand)

then cut your baffle in the front side (dosnt matter if its plexiglass or wood, just make sure the inner dimensions are what they should be. and make sure the hole is big enough to fit the rear of the woofer. and dont forget to pre-drill plexiglass and use some good fastners or the sub will vibrate loose, or the plastic will crack.

then just use screws to keep it together and silicone or some kind of sealer on the inside.

drill a small hole for your wires, stick them thru and seal around that hole too.

YOU DO NOT WANT ANY AIR LEAKS IN THIS ENCLOSURE!!!!!

thats about it. good luck.

i've always calculated it differently

((W1xheightxdepth)+(((W2-W1)xheght)/2)xdepth))/1728=ft^3

i calculate w1 as a square box, then the little triangle seperate and add them together, it looks confusing because of all the parenthesis but its not really.
