Yet another help pick a sub thread

I know you guys probably get tired people asking the same old questions. Sorry, I don't really know much about car audio.

I have a full size K5 Blazer. I've been thinking about a 12" Assassin in a sealed enclosure, but I've been told it might not get loud enough. I want it to get loud, but I would like SQ over volume, both if it's posible in my price range.

I would be willing to spend $150 on a sub if it's going to be better than the Assassin. I just need some advice from some people who know what they are talking about.

Will an Arsenal or a Type-r just be louder than the Assassin, or will the SQ be a little better also?

How will the SQ compare to the Assassin?

How can you people even associate the Type R with the concept of a "SQ more important than SPL" woofer?

Anyway, if you're looking for more output, maybe a different woofer is the wrong approach. In a full size Blazer, you'd have plenty of room to port your first choice woofer. You could even get creative and go bandpass if you wanted to. Honestly with a little extra power for overhead I don't think "not loud enough" will be a problem at all.

go with 2 XS-L100P5W's.....in a sealed enclosure they sound awesome and hit very hard.....and they're $60 each
