Yeah another L7 topic

i doubt it youd probably snap a tinsel lead very common with them right now. if you dont beat on it very hard at all it'll prob be okay but i would be careful and not by just watching the gains. even if you have them set properly which is not by geussing where they should be that is still a ton of power and even with the gains set correctly you can still blow the sub up.....

there is no reason to throw 1300w at a poor L7, thats just mean //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

right now i have 750w rms to two 12" l7s and to me it looks liek there getting the shit kicked out of them from just that.... all up to you i guess.. you wanna beat the crap out of it then throw 1300w rms to it...

It will take it no problem......i dont know what the other people are talking about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

It took 1200rms to get my old one to really shine.

Hows the new Directed d2400 compared to the Orion 1200d. Will the Directed acutally put out 1200w rms? I can get them both for for $300, which one would you guys prefer?

Smaller the box...more power you can give it, just remember that. BUT i would say 1300 is fine if you watch the gains. You shouldnt have a problem. My friend has a 15" L7 in a fiberglass 4.3 cu. ft. box with an Alpine v12 1000.1 to it, and it really wants to see more power. I dont know where the gains are set on it, but it definitely could take more power.

OK thanks for the info. Now I just have to choose the amp. Either the Orion 1200D (1200rms @ 1 ohm), Directed d2400 (1200rms @1 ohm), or the Infinity 1211a (1300rms @ 2 ohms but I was gonna wire it to 1 anyways). I kinda like the Directed and Infinity the most but I'll most likely get what you guys tell me is the best of the 3.

Well I guess there are enough reply's for you but heck why not? Yes it will handle it just fine. Please make sure the SSF is set right.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
