Yea...another alt question

I have a 2000 Honda Accord 2.3L...all the alt's I've seen on ebay run around 70amps idle, with 160 max or so. I'm planning on either 2 eD nine.1s strapped, or Orion 2500d and a highs amp (150 per side, 300 in total)...Do you think one of these 160 amp alt's (75-80 idle) with 1 yellow top will be enough?

2 2500D's.....you must have a beefy sub

You will have dimming no matter what with 2 of those bay boys ******* juice.

Just so folks know, the reason HO ALTs have a lower output at RPM is due to the stator/rotor assembly and how they are wound. It is similar to a High Current Amplifier, you lose 4 ohm power output to gain higher power output. Same for the HO Alt, you have to comprimise low rpm output in order to achieve higher amperage.

I would upgrade the ALT and add two smaller batteries in the rear. The added reserve capacity will absorb some of the shock and unless you do sweeps all day the ALT will power all three batteries just fine.
