req.. still no word on the ground distro's. he says they were supposed to be in at his suppliers the 17th of july. I dont have them at my house yet... He said something about going on vacation again so idk.. ill try to talk to ya when he gives me a for sure date about when i will be getting them so i can send it to ya.

i dont know you but congrats anyways. i was in the USAF & since i couldnt get hawaii as a permanent duty station i got out & moved back. how long was basic training, what's your career field, & did you get a bonus?

Well to the new Airman..congrats from another Airman, but I'm in the AF. Have fun on the carriers and actually getting to see parts of the world other than the sandbox! If you went AF, that's all you would see.

Shit my duty station is germany. Spent a year there before Iraq if thats not traveling I dont know what is. In that year I went to Spain, Amster****,France and all over Germany. On a carrier you just getta enjoy port and shit right for like a few nights? I dont know I allways heard the Air Force gets treated better and live better. Plus dont deploy half as long or half as much. Im on my 7 month of a 12 month tour and i have hated every god dman minute of it.But id rather be a man in the army and in Iraq then a girl in the rear preachin for the pansie air force.
To each his own. I too had fun in the army. In korea, but being in the army kind of ruined that expirience, I still had one of the greatest years of my life there. Still the army was not worth it. You could be in the the AF and do the same. He still has 4 years left of that too. ha. AF definitely has it way better. You could call me a pansie all you want if I had joined the airforce, but I'd be the one laughing at you while im getting **** in different countries while you are hating life in Iraq. I know I hated the year over there.
Korea that sucks man. My buddie just got back from Korea almost ouot of the service. Got sent to Ft stewart and is now involuntarily extended. How was korea sounds 50/50 from what ive heard. What was your mos? Where were you in Iraq? I do hear you about the army ruining the expierience. Allways sucks going to the field and all that bs.
I was in baghdad. I loved Korea. That was the one of the best years of my life, would have been 10 times better if I wasnt in the army tho. Got to go to japan while I was there. I went to japan twice. From Korea I also went to fort stewart and I was also involuntarily extended. My MOS is 98C sigint analyst. My other friend liked Germany also, but he ended up in Iraq for 17 months.
Not completely true. I guess it all depends on your AFSC. I was a Flying Assistant Crew Cheif on KC-135R I traveled quite a bit & btw i did get extra pay for being on flying status.
As for the Army (the so called men) yeah ya'll got the hardcore grunt work but in the Air Force it's super chill & i've even stayed in 4-5 star hotels on tdy's on several occassions to include a rental car.
