My system is capable of drawing ~250 amps and it's running off of my stock battery (which is over 5 years old now) and stock 80 amp alt, and there are no issues, dimming or otherwise. If you have the sub balanced like it should be and you listen to music (as opposed to rap), you'd have to be deaf to ever have a problem. The problems come when you either have the sub boosed 15-20dB above the rest of the system or you play sine waves and bass testing songs constantly, or both.)))
