I know its a funky title but I'm a noob and from what I hear about the xxx its awesome with great sq with spl numbers. I just was wondering what else falls into the class. I know most top of the line subs are for spl but I want to know what has great sq with the mind blowing loudness and can handle some power.

PS I know most loudness depends on install but I want to know what has the ability. and room power and money are not factors I'm just looking for some top of the line subs

JL Audio W7, Image Dynamics IDMax, Soundsplinter Rl-p, Stereo Integrity Magnum (if they are available), Adire Brahma and Tumult (when they become available), MTX 9500 series, Ascendant Audio Avalanche (not presently available I don't think).....that's all I can think of off hand. Future releases that should be in the same league are the Soundsplinter Rl-s and "new" XXX.

xxx, either old or new, if u can get them

mag d2, the new ones rock, the old ones if u don't mind used

rl-s, if you can wait,

rl-p, if money, space and power are an issue

w7, like u didn't know...lol

of those, only the rl-s is yet to be out. the new mags haven't started to ship but are available.....i've listened to all but the rl-s, and owned/ own two of them, the xxx (old) and the rl-p.....space and money is no object, then it's down to the new mag and the xxx. either will achieve what ur after.

IME, the new mag has the ability to get quite a bit lower without being quite as touchy on enclosure, but needs the proper enclosure to be really loud. on the flip side, the xxx gets really loud regardless of enclosure, but needs the right one to get really low......

it's all up to ur pocketbook and taste
