XXX vs. MX

Both 06 of course, but what are the major differences between the two speakers? I realize the XXX is 2000 RMS and the MX is 1500, but what is each one built for? Will the MX or the XXX get louder? I know the XMAX on the XXX is sick, but doesn't that just lead to a very inefficient woofer? If someone has heard both power properly tell me how it was and what the differences were. the 06 xxx seems like overkill to me. i haven't heard it, but all the power and box needed for that is just too much. not to mention the sub is a beast, and that would be hard to get set-up.

Why MX? I just sprung for a XXX 05 based off of what I have read here. Something was said about the wimpy VC in the MX but I don't recall exactly. I will let you know in a month or so.

Wimpy VC?? It's got a 4 inch VC, haha. BTW, there is not many other threads comparing the two directly and asking the differences between them. I found one thread that gave me some useful information. So STFU if you don't like my thread... What's so hard about not replying?

Back to the question at hand though. Has anyone had direct experience with both?

whats so wimpy about a $" VC, someone told you wrong about a "wimpy voice coil" i overpowered mine by alot before, even had it on a XX Colossus at one time with no problems whatsoever

Not saying the MX has a wimpy coil...but a 4" coil means nothing...all depends on what the coil is made of and how its wound.

Here's an idea, call the people who designed and make these drivers, and ask them what the differences are, and what they recommend for your needs. what the hell is wrong with telling you to do some searching. Because this has been asked numerous times, and I'd be willing to bet those threads have the info you are looking for.
