xxx not what I expected

I had the same prob when I first got my 15" XXX. It was port noise I believe. Box was real weird, I sealed it and tried it out of the box in the air, no noise //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif It's your box man.

Edit: Maybe not after reading the last post... but still try to run it free air and u can find out whether it is the sub or not 4 sure.

1.75 cuft gross or net? going off the original poster he doesn't know much and if that is 1.75 gross then it's 1/2 the size it should be. IMO it' still to small, xxx need about 3cuft to shine IMO.

I dont think a XXX12 really needs 4 cubes to shine, that's double RE's recommended size (they say 4 cubes for a 15). But I tend to agree, the box sounds on the small side. I prefer running XXX's in a bit bigger boxes than recommended also (but not double //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif).

In my testing 2.5ft^3 had a very good responce for the 12.

its a 2.5^3 @ 32 hz. Its not the box thats the problem, the sound is coming from the subwoofer. I'm thinking its the LOC honestly. I'm getting a new HU to throw in there and I'll see how that goes.
