ive heard 7.5-8.5deep and like 8inches wide...

Just measured one of mine for you... 4-3/4" deep/tall, 8-3/4" diameter. Those dimensions are approximate using a tape measure and eyeball, and are strictly the motor (top of top plate/bottom of frame to bottom of the backplate).
