2 12SE vs 1 15SX - Orion 1200d

So I have an Orion 1200d and I have narrowed it down to a single 15 SX or 2 12'' SE. I want SQ but it must be louder than my 4 8''s off of 800rms, and hopefully by quite a bit.

Now the 12SE would be ported in 4 cubes to 32hz, and same with the 15SX. SEs would be getting approximatly 700rms each, and approximatly 1400rms to the single 15 SX.

What would you get? Or, would the difference be negligible, and I keep my 4 8''s?

2 SEs would will be way louder then the 4 8s IMO. The lows would be great also. Im pretty sure the 2 SEs should have more output then the SX but its a given they will sound better. That power and box should have them pounding really really low.

2 SEs, seal em. they are ewww ported, but shine sealed imo
just out of curiosity... how much space do u guys recommend for the SE sealed? Because I had mine in 1.5 sealed and it just didnt do it for me.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif I think I should have kept that sub and left it ported maybe a bit of a bigger box.

SE's do not sound good ported? How would they compare to my 8''s?

I want SQL, not just sq or just spl. I was hoping the SEs would be a good mix between an SQ sub and an SPL sub, while ported //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Anyone have other experiences with ported SEs? I've never really heard a PURE SQ sub/setup, so I have nothing to set a basis on.

they are good ported from my experience. I had one in 2.0 @ 32 hz. It was really good for low end. I never thought it ever sounded bad in that box. If your a fan of sq and lows plus a good amount of spl its the way to go.

i had 2 ported SE's and loved them..but now ive moved on to the SX's...i scored a 144.6 with the SE's on the new termlab so they can get loud and in my opinion sounded good.

I'd go for the se's.... but I've never had a chance to play with either, so I guess I'm not much help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
