XXX mids in rear deck

I was wondering if running a pair of xxx mids in the back deck of my honda prelude would be a good idea. Im going to college next year so im going to sell my subs before i leave because i wont really be driving my car. I was just wondering if this would be a good idea because I want to still have a little bass for when I do get in my car to drive back home on weekends and stuff. Right now I'm running 05 alpine type r compnents up front and they have decent mid bass but I want a little more than that.

why has no one said anything about the xxx6.5 dont work well in IB.... I hope your planning on making some type of little box for the mids....

Search around for some 6.5"s designed for actual subbass. I don't think the XXX mids were made specifically for the bottom end, just midbass up. You could also find cheaper options that would work IB and with similar power.

i want to put the xx 6.5's in my rear deck to support my rl-p with midbass. of course they will be in a enclosure(alot of work for the rear deck). maybe one day it will happen X_X
