I got my XXX mids in today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif Don't know what to do with them. First things first. Do I "NEED" a crossover or can I run them full range on my amps/HU high pass filter. Also they can be run IB right? and is anyone running them on 80-90 watts. If so how do they sound.

Next will they pair well with these Kicker R19

They are kicker R19 silk dome tweeters. They are 90 watts rms and the have a passive crossover at 4,500 HZ.

Run them with some Focal tweeters!!!!
Thing is I already have these so that is considerablly cheaper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How about the other questions anyone.

I don't see why you couldn't run those off the internal high pass x-over that is in your amp. Just make sure you use the passive xover that came with your tweeter.

Yeah I'm going to use the one with the tweeter. When I get my amp back I'll hook them up and check it out. Thanks Adam71. Oh yeah and nice name by the way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Question for you squeak. The crossover frequency onboard my vga320.4 goes from 30-4000k hz. Setting the crossover point at like what 50-60hz should work right.
lowpass mids at 50/60hz? u could highpass there, but 50hz is pretty low. Probly would wana be at 70hz or so, 60hz is fine. The woofer will take everything below that

That was actually for the high pass setting. I can only high pass them on my amp. I don't think I could do both. Unless I'm wrong.

what you could do is high pass them at 70 hz. on the amp and get a f-mod to low pass at like 300 hz. do you plan to get a midrange? you could also get a 4" midrange to play 300 hz. to 4,500 hz.

So I could High Pass it on my HU then low pass it from my amp correct?
That's what I was eluding to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif As long as the amp's lowpass can go high enough to fit your needs, that is your best option.
