XXX Magnet

Well me and my cousin in oklahoma were having a debate on RE subs and well he has never heard of them. He claims alpine has the best clarity but he likes how these XXX looks and since he is building my boxes and installing my subs i don't like to argue about which are the better subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I gave him a link to that webpage and he pointed out something that i guess looked over it turns out under the XXX section the bigger the subwoofer the smaller the magnet, I always thought the bigger the sub the bigger the magnet, Is the pictures just not matched up to the correct size? Also i tried doing a search with no luck i was wondering if someone can give me a measurement of how big the magnets are on each size of XXX and the approx. weight(oz.). Thanks for your help...

I think it could be that the larger cone and basket creates the illusion of a smaller magnets for the bigger subs.

Not sure on the magnet weight, 360 oz. rings a bell, though...

They all use the same motor, just a different basket/cone on the different sizes...

yep, the bigger basket just makes the motor look smaller even though its the same size

I checked there site about those mt's whats the deal on them? Far as when are they coming out and the specs on them? If that is a mt that is got to be the biggest 8'' sub i have every seen *drools*. To bad its not covered by a warrenty but with good reason i guess. What kind of warrenty do they give you on these subs if you don't get the MT? thanks

that's not a 8 MT...the only MTs out now are 12, 15, 18

the mt is already out...and selling, it's a spl only sub...can be used for daily....but it's not recommended...there's really now rms rating from what i remember but i know most who use them give them about 4000-8000 watts rms without a problem

their cost is similiar to a xxx

i was just saying it looked like an MT, the triple stacked magnets...

and snova said it was custom built by Dave... so you never know...

That's a 10"

Its got a triple stack of 9" magnets, and a 4" coil. Its ridiculously big. It has a super tight gap so it will rub the coil during HIGH excursions.
