ok, i'm lookin to get a pair of 12" xxx's but i'm having some difficulty finding an amp to match them. i need to know what kind of wiring options i have for these subs.

what is their possible final impedence if i wire them together to one amp? or separately to two amps?

if i could find out the ohm load it would be easier to find a suitable amp(s) to push them

thanks in advance

RE does custom coils for an extra $25 dollars a sub. If you are willing to pay this the possiblities are huge just get the amp(s) first. If not look for a single amp that does around 2500-3500 watts at .5 ohm or 2 ohm... I could be wrong but don't think so. Or two amps that each do around 1200-1800 watts at either 1 or 4 ohm.

I have played with a XXX 15 and feel thet 2500-3000watts is a little to much. The sub comes with a dual 2 ohm coils from RE. Get a good mono amp that stable to 1 ohm. Wire the XXX to a 1 ohm load. I would suggest a DIAMOND AUDIO D^ 1500 watt mono amp. I own one and it's great only drawback is it's a little pricey you can find it on EBAY for around 520 shipped. I found that was the perfect amp for the XXX 15 it powered it nicley and the amp offers great SQ

is that amp underrated?

Well...

they rate at 12V so you can figure tha one out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Bumping105S, he meant 3000W to the pair, not each //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

O my bad I thought he meant per sub. LOL I have found the DIAMOND AUDIO 1500 watt mono amp to be slightly underrated. It is a great amp and I would buy another anyday of the week. I guess it all depends on how much you have to spend?

wouldn't the 2500d be too much power? also how would i wire the subs for it?

Not for a pair......many people run the Orion to a single XXX.......You could go with a pair of ED 9.1s, around the price of the Orions, and the 9.1 comes with a three year warranty, too.
