I'm going to pick it up in a few minutes. I'll still need to build/buy a box. I'm a little skeptical of building my own, because i haven't done that yet, but i figure I could learn. I just want it to sound good though so I might see what i can get one built for.

Bump for all you vampires. I got the sub now, so I'm probably going to start building the box soon. I'm kinda leaning towards 2.4-2.8 @ 28-30. Hoping that will work well.

i got the same sub, i think ill be doing 2.8 with 32 hz as well...im burnt out trying to decide on the perfect box. im gonna try a few out..

well i got the sub today.

For anyone planning on getting one, or about to install one, it may be a two man job. lol. this sub is heavy as hell. The box it is in is too big for it, something like 4.5 cubes, and i'm not sure of the tuning. It's basically sitting on my back seats right now.

So far, I'm happy with it. It's taking 2500 watts like a champ, and sounds very very clean. Not nearly as loud as the SX's, which upsets me, but sounds infinitely better.

Now i can't wait to get it in a proper box. My plans for the future include another one of these suckers and a 4K-6K watt amp that's stable @ .5 ohm. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif That should satisfy my addiction.

oh also, i meant to say that it hits the lows a lot better. it doesn't seem to pick up as low of notes, but the lower ones that the SX's didn't really move much on really make this thing rumble. It gets me all excited for putting this thing in another box.

Every XXX that's been made has always been louder and cleaner than the SX of the same generation. I don't know what you did wrong with that XXX, but there is an issue somewhere.

It is in a pretty crappy box, and area of the car, so that will make a bit of a difference when i get it in a new box. also there's only one of these. I had two of the SX's in a really good box. that's why i'm guessing they were louder. the xxx still sounded way cleaner.
