XXX Enclosure, requesting assistance.

By this time next week, I'll be the proud new parent of an RE XXX 12".

It's going in the trunk of a Mazda 626, to be ran off of an Orion 2500D.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a box size/tuning frequency? I'm looking for it to be a loud daily driver, cargo space be ****ed. If you have ran an XXX or heard one and have a suggestion or comment on your experience, I would really like to hear it.

I just designed one at 2.8 cubes at 34Hz.

I loved 2 @ 28. Tried higher and it didn't sound nearly as good.

Of course that was with an old style XXX. You getting a new one or a used one?

It's a used one. I'm not sure of which year's model it is though.

I'll get the dimensions in a few and let you guys know how much room i have to play with. If i go around 2cf though, i will still have plenty of room.

The year isn't that important. There have only been 2 versions, the new version that is like 9+ inches deep with the massive basket and domed motor and the '05 and older version with the XBL^2 motor and chrome top and back plates with the conventional 12 spoke basket.

IIRC the **** cones had different motive parameters (Cms, Mms).

I don't even know. This one isn't a **** cone though. It's one of the newer ones. Personally, I like them better than the **** cones.
