SPLC Fails
So I decided today to clean up the board of one of my Xtant 403a's yesterday. I noticed a missing transistor and a bad resistor, so I figured this would be a good opportunity.
Not sure if this is going to go over well on this forum. Some of you may enjoy the pics, some may not. Hey, at least you get to see some juicy Xtant guts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Hopefully my following series of amplifier cleanings will breathe a little life into this forum as far as the AUDIO is concerned.
The following pics are from my progress last night and tonight. I finished cleaning the top of the board, all the components, and got all of the thermal paste out of there. I also cleaned the fan assembly and the casing, but didn't take pics yet. Next, I will desolder and resolder every solder joint on the board, it will be all nice and shiny when I'm done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I did this before to my Earthquake PA-2075, took a super long time but I was pleased with the results!
For the first couple pics, I didn't take any "before" pics of the first set of transistors. I got the hang of it the farther I went along lol
