xover settings on headunit

im dumb when it comes to setup, and got a quick question on xover setup on headunit. The headunit is alpine 9887, i have 6x9 alpine door speakers and 6.5 alpine door speakers in rear doors, and 2 12" subs. What would i set coax speakers xovers at, , and what slope? flat, 6, 12, 18, 24?

id set it at 80hz -100hz for the highes

80-60 on the subs

Set the slopes to either 18 or 24 ("flat" is "off" BTW). Start at about 100hz on the high-pass for the front speakers and then turn it up as loud as you would listen to it. Slowly dial the freq lower until the front speakers start to distort and then go back up one step. Set the sub crossover to the same freq or 1-2 steps (whatever blends better with the fronts) lower with a 24dB slope.

hehe..i did this...most of what i was reading pertained to components, and didnt know where to begin with 6x9 coaxs. And the slope really messes with me..i do realize it meant sharp rolloff or vise versa, but still confused me. Thanks helotaxi and others for the help
