Xenon 200.4 seems too hot

Just curious and I should probably start a new thread for this but my sub amp is a 2001 Orion and it has those funky slide in inputs and they barely fit 4 gauge. Had anyone come up with a solution to those stupid things? I’m thinking get 1 gauge or large terminal adapters and use 1 for each input instead of two 4 gauge. Modify them and solder them on or something. Maybe it would make them easier to hook up.

I’ll see what happens with the shorter cable. What kind of load would your amps be seeing bridged to 8 ohms? Those amps are impede de controlled or whatever you want to call it. Would it up the output so you would get the same as bridged to 4 ohms? Something popped up on Craigslist locally. A 100.2 brand new in box for $120 Canadian.
Had it setup for 2way active 4ohm per channel. The amp ended up burning from probably the last guy who had it and the vibration.. my 100.2s literally never get above cabin temperature

And yes the outputs and the power supply regulated.

I'm down to sell a 100.2 if I could find another 200.4 in pristine condition that would be 400 per midbass and I would Bridge one per tweeter.

Already have quite a bit of Headroom and the system is so **** Dynamic is pretty inspiring it's straight loud clean and has a serious attack

Ha yeah that seems the way to go and probably where mine is heading. Last amp I had was an audison 5 channel with 175 x 2 and 60 x2 for tweets. Wasn’t nearly enough for tweets. The 200 Watts really woke up the tweets. At first I tried using the gain on the amp to turn down the tweets but it didn’t sound right. Actually sounded like crap. Set the gains with dd1 then turned down tweets on the head unit and it sounded perfect. Bridging the 200.4 to mids then getting 150 watt x2 approx for tweets but don’t have room for another amp!
