I'm using an SI Mag v3 at the moment (probably for a while, great sub). Right now it's being powered by a pdx 1000.1 (@ 4ohms). I'm not disappointed with the pdx at all really, but I don't want to turn the gain up past 80% and I'm pretty sure the subwoofer can take more than ~800-900, not that I'm concerned with a few hundred watts. But the pdx isnt very adjustable/customizable as you may know

It looks like the S/N ratio of the xenon is 10db greater than that of the PDX and the efficiency of the xenon is 80% which is pretty solid, I cant find any numbers on the pdx though, does anyone have any idea how the pdx measures up the xenons efficiency.

I'm starting to get some dimming when I give the stereo a good crank, which I'd never run into before.

Just looking for some general opinions, if anyone has dealt with both and can offer some input please chime in for me.

Xenon, excellent amp. Make sure you run both sets of power and ground to it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You dont have to, but the amp will like you much better if you do so. If you have have a short run of 4 guage to one of the terminals, then it works decent.

^the xenon's have 2 power/remote/ground inputs...

I have a short ground and a short power (coming from my distribution block)... maybe 3 feet at most on my 200.4

I havent played with pdx amps but have tried xenon and loved them. If space is not a problem go give the xenon a try. They are real solid amps. Or you could always buy both and sell the one you dont want.

That's what I was planning on doing, once I get a little extra cash
