I would like to say both of you need to STFU. Not really, I just felt like getting your attention first. First of all, GTA you really canNOT talk about buying an Xbox is contributing to a shady company when you're running your PC with Windows XP OS. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

HOWEVER, I think GTA has a very good point about the fact that PC technology develops much faster than that of consoles. Its not just his bias that is saying that, its also happens to be the truth. Consoles are NOT upgradeable in any way so you can't say the 360 is going to be better than a PC gaming rig will be 2 years down the road. PCs have advancements every 6 months or less. Consoles come out with the latest technologies every 5 years. Do the math. PCs just have that unfair advantage of changing with times easier than a console does.

I admit I am a console fan. I always have been. Thats probably due to the fact that I've never had a really nice gaming rig on my PC. I also like to have my console hooked up to my home entertainment system so I can enjoy gaming on my TV with my surround receiver playing the game sdtk in Dolby Pro Logic II. Not to mention sitting on my lazy boy or couch while doing so. I've always placed "gameplay" over "graphics" anyway but thats just my preference. I'm not saying either platform is better, I'm just saying you guys should enjoy YOUR own way of playing games and STOP the senseless fucking bickering about which is better. Because it sounds like you both have your preferences and neither of you is going to change the other's mind about what is the premiere way of gaming. There now I've blabbered my opinion and will let you guys go and have some adolescent gaming fun.

Peace out.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How can you compare a concole to a computer? You can't. As computers keep on getting better and faster like every 3-6 months. My friend bought a X360 when it came out and I wasn't impressed at all. And of course it's going to have problems. It's Microsoft. I went through about 3 or 4 Xbox's. And thats was within like 1.5 years. Not worth it. While I STILL have my Playstation 2. I bought it the 1st day it came out and it still going strong. Microsoft sucks at making consoles. They should just stick with OS's.

While games nowadays don't make real use of the 2nd or third processors, exactly what kind of difference do you think it's going to make? You can't just program one processor to push everything it can't handle to the next. It doesn't work that way. The best you can hope for is that developers will be able to divide the load of the game between them, like AI for the second processor and physics for the third. This won't make the game look any better because the graphics engine itself has one processor and limited memory. In fact, it won't do anything other than aid cooling because the first processor is more than capable of doing all of it.

The power in the Xbox 360 is nothing more than a gimmick. Microsoft has once again failed to look at what a developer really needs and made a simple goal of making a 1 teraflop console.

Screenshots have confirmed that an everyday PC can outdo an Xbox 360, graphically. Just look at King Kong for PC vs King Kong for X360. The PC version uses higher poly models, larger textures, better particle and fog/matte effects, the works, and the difference is obvious. Want to know why? MEMORY The biggest benefit, graphically, the console has is the 512 megs of high speed memory, and the extra 10 megs of dedicated video memory. This is what will store models, textures, scripts, and anything else the game will really use. It's why it won't touch a PC as far a s graphics go, because in a year 256 meg video cards and 1 gig RAM chips will be the norm.

you're too much man... i give, the new xbox is the greatest thing since the type-r. the computer age is over, thus beginneth the era of the 360.
you're simply not grasping what im saying. the xbox owns gaming performance right now, thats obvious. nothing can touch it for the price or even double the price. but that is RIGHT NOW. microsoft rushed to get that thing on the shelves before xmas and before the ps3. a lot of them have bugs or defects.

most pc gamers already have pretty nice gaming rigs. to us, its not $400 xbox 360 performance vs $2k pc performance. its $400 360 performance vs $400 video card upgrade performance. what i am trying to drill into your thick *** skull is that computer technology constantly advances, and prices constantly drop. 6 months from now, before the designers are even able to take full advantage of the multithreading and the new shading techniques of the 360, 400 dollars will get you a mean *** video card, from the next generation of pc cards, which is on par with the 360s.

jump forward to late 06 or early 07. the ps3 has been out for 9 months and i'm sure will have a lot of good titles, and pc's will have passed up the 360 graphics wise, while retaining the ability to argue like assholes in car audio forums, in the background of your games if you like. by then the 360 will be 200-250 and alot easier to justify purchasing.

but hey if you've got a shitty computer, 400 bucks to spend, and you want to play some awesome looking games, whether you have HD or not, get the 360.

the real boner is the ps3, not the xbox 360

more bugs then windows? i highly highly doubt it

the next generation of graphics cards is highly unlikley to be on par with the 360

your whole argument is lame if you're just going to get a ps3, the same thing is going to happen

iirc quake 3 was setup for dual processors

its completly apples to oranges, consoles dont have half the shit on their plate that the pc's do. when the origonal xbox came out it was competing with systems that had 512 to a gig of just system memory alone... and it has what, 64mb of memory? you can't base its preformance off of how much ram it has

You guys are tards. They are both new consoles they are both going to have good graphics and fast processors and be in high def and all that crazy shit. It all boils down to what games you want. If you like Halo and Microsoft games then buy a 360. If you like MGS and Sony games then buy a PS3. That simple.

Man, is that all this is about to you? Xbox vs. the world.?? You love the Xbox, thats obvious. But that doesn't mean its the best system for gaming on the planet. Let it go man. I'm a Playstation guy myself but I could care less what you or anyone else has to say about it because I like it. Oh and I also can accept the fact that it doesn't match up with PC technology. Why can't you??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

actually no, im not an xbox guy at all, i dont have one but i might buy a 360. the simple fact is that no, it does not match up with pc gaming technology it walks over it. and currently it best theoretical system for gaming on the planet... atleast in the retail market.

why do i feel the need to say something? something about people blatantly spreading missinformation, dispite not having even seen the system in person, or used it with decent equipment.. and numbers showing the opposite. You guys are just hating on it because you have such a ****ing boner for the ps3 (which i will probably buy)

Oh so now you want to look at it like that?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

i dont ever recal saying the xbox was going to be better then the ps3, i never even compared them. that was you asshats

people talking shit on something they know nothing about and have yet to research just annoys me. these are the same type of people that talk about how dope the new xxx is and sounds

I'm just glad I could care less about the next gen consoles. I mean they intrigue me and I think its all cool shit but I refuse to be the guy who waits outside for something like that. But that could be me maturing a little bit, but I doubt that being possible.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif I have a PS2 and a Gamecube and have plenty of games for both systems, in fact I don't even play those enough to justify them. So I'm going to be really patient with the next gen consoles. I don't really have a problem in waiting 2 or 3 more years for a new console.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif
