I myself saw this coming.

and i just read that Microsoft actually loses money on making thess xbox's, approximately 126 per unit and that of which doesn't include the other fees such as shipping, freight, etc.

yeah I heard Microsoft was losing big amounts of money on the XBOX and XBOX 360. I guess they are looking toward the future and the old saying goes "you have spend money to make money."

Just about every console loses money ... but they make it back with the software, controllers, accessories, etc. ...
MS wanted to beat the PS3 to market, so they rushed the project ... That's almost never a good idea from a product quality standpoint ...

Agreed, when the PS2 first came out, Sony lost a lot the first year or two, but after that, it was all profit.

Its partly because right now all the technology in the current XBOX 360 and the upcoming PS3 costs alot since its so advanced but as time goes on, the value of the cpu and gpu, ect goes down.. Even though there are going to be price cuts on the consoles, the cost of making them decreases even quicker.

And about the XBox 360 having errors, its no suprise. I bet when the PS3 comes out, it'll have errors too.

well yeah but not to the point where they won't barely test out the system. Microsoft, being as they usually are, rush there products. Sony is smart
